There are many words that can be used to describe what I am. But who I am, is a deliberate leader intent on speaking into the lives of those I come into contact with. After 25-years in the private sector, most of those at the helm of companies I have ran, God has shifted my focus and told me, quite bluntly, to go teach.
Although I have found myself in teaching moments throughout most of my life, the title of teacher is not one I have ever officially worn, and yet God has uniquely opened doors of opportunity that has seen me engage with students across the country, and in my own home town.
I have authored 4-textbooks that introduce STEM Based ‘Introduction to Electronics’ curriculum to students across the country, and around the globe. This unique hands on curriculum engages the hearts and minds of the learner, teaching concepts that will last a lifetime as they transition from student, to marketplace leader.
In addition, I am a history / political buff who enjoys engaging others in conversations that reach far beyond the headlines or talking points, digging deep into the issues of the day, as well as the issues in history which define who we are as a people, and where we are at as a world. Drawing Biblical principals and superimposing those ideas on both current events as well as historical events offers perspective that develops critical thinking and the desire to learn the story behind the story.
I have been married to Geta (pronounced Jetta like the car) for almost 18-years, and together we have two children, J. Ethan and Ellie. We currently live in Smyrna, and we worship at World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro where I have been fortunate to serve in several different capacities through the years we have attended.
