Typing: In this course, we will spend one semester focusing on computer typing. In this age of
technology, children are learning how to use computers at a younger age. In this course, we will
learn all the keys of a keyboard and how to type effectively, fast, and accurately.
Cursive: In this course, children will strengthen their handwriting skills and learn how to write in
cursive. We will also practice signing our name.
What to expect:
Throughout the course, emphasis will be placed on developing hand-strength in dexterity and
memorization of keys. Each child will be given a computer keyboard to use in class only.
(Having laptops and computers at home to practice is recommended for this course).
How we learn:
Typing: We will be using a digital curriculum called, “Typesy”. Each student will have their own
login to complete activities, games, spelling words, and words per minute (WPM) exercise
throughout the week. The supply fee will cover the cost of the program. I will provide each
student and parent with their login information.
Cursive: We will be using Handwriting Level 3 from The Good and the Beautiful. Each child
will bring their workbook to class and will practice at home. Parents will be required to purchase
this book for $15.99. Please see link below.
Introduction to Cursive Handwriting Level 3
The supply fee will cover the cost of each child’s practice keyboard and the online program we
will use.

The goal of this class is to develop a love for Spanish that your child will carry with them throughout their lives. We will learn vocabulary and phonetics for proper pronunciation. We will touch on the natural ability to learn another language at their prime age. We will build conversation skills through songs, illustrations, games and skits. We will use movements and even incorporate a little bit of ASL to help remember the skills they are learning.

“Involve me and I will understand.”
I absolutely love this quote. Since its beginnings the center of drama has been
communication and involvement with the objective of understanding the world. Through
active and interactive classes, students will gain self-confidence, leadership skills, and
cooperation. Further, students will become comfortable being in front of others, will
learn to think creatively, and acquire skills necessary for the audition process. By
participating, students will have a hands-on opportunity to participate in their own
learning through the exploration of various forms of drama such as mime,
improvisational theatre, reader’s theatre, and creative drama. They will learn how to
develop character, create environments, express emotion, movement, and learn
memorization techniques. The class will touch on various theatre styles throughout
history (It is important to know how we got to where we are!) and encourage exploration
of their own expression. The class will perform a one act play in mid to late April.
There is no textbook required for this class. The student’s supply fee will cover the cost of the scripts.

In our elementary music class, we follow through the amazing workbook, Music Theory Made Easy. I’ve been working with this book in classes for the last 2 years and have found it to be challenging yet understandable for ages as young as 5! Your student will leave this course with an understanding or basic music theory, such as the musical scale and how to place/read notes from it, the shapes and titles of musical signs and more!

This class is based around projects that can be accomplished by students of many ages/grades. It relies heavily on the elements of art, art history, and various mediums. Introducing students to new mediums will push their creativity into new areas. Student’s individual skills will be developed by encouraging them to go to the next step in their progress toward proficiency.

Each class will begin with a short lesson directly from the Bible. Students will then be asked to build with Legos something related to the lesson. Occasionally, they will be given the opportunity to use their imagination and strategic planning skills to free-build what they want with Legos. We will wrap up each class with a “show and tell” and pictures of what they built to be sent to parents each week.
