I was born in Lafayette, TN and lived in Red Boiling Springs for 13 years. My family moved to Nashville in 1963 and I graduated from Donelson High School in 1968. I attended George Peabody College for Teachers and earned a BS in Mathematics in 1972.
I taught in Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools for 40 years. My first 19 years were spent at Wright Middle School where I taught seventh grade mathematics and Pre-Algebra. My last 21 years were at McGavock High School where I taught everything from Pre-Algebra to Pre-Calculus.
I have been married for 49 years and have two beautiful daughters who blessed us with four amazing grandchildren.
Since my retirement in December, 2012, I have enjoyed spending time with my grandchildren and helping homeschool my granddaughters.
